A return request or issue report will be considered under the following conditions:
1. Quality Issues
- The item is spoiled, rotten, or not safe for consumption.
- The item has expired before the stated 'Use By' or 'Best Before' date.
2. Damage in Transit
- The product arrived damaged, leaking, crushed, or in a condition that is unsafe or unsuitable to eat.
3. Incorrect Item Delivered
- You received a different product, type, or variant than what you ordered.
4. Significant Shortfall
- There is a clear and measurable difference between the quantity/weight ordered and what was delivered.
Returns cannot be accepted for the following:
- Change of Mind: Deciding you no longer want the product.
- Minor Cosmetic Imperfections: Natural blemishes or variations in size/color in fresh produce that do not affect quality.
- Customer’s Incorrect Order: Wrong item or quantity selected at checkout.
- Failure to Receive Delivery: If you miss delivery and the item spoils as a result.
- Improper Home Storage: Spoilage occurring after delivery due to poor storage conditions.
Report the Issue (Within 4 Hours of Delivery)
Because many food items are perishable, all return-related issues must be reported within 4 hours of delivery.
Log in to your Foodpile account.
Navigate to My Orders and select the affected order.
Click Report an Issue.
Choose the affected item and state the reason.
Provide Evidence
You will be required to submit clear photos or videos showing:
- The product and the issue,
- The packaging/label (if relevant),
- The product placed next to the delivery note or order summary.
Review & Outcome
Our team will review your submission within 24 business hours.
Based on validation, we may:
- Provide a replacement at no additional cost,
- Or request a return pickup only if required for quality checks.
Most times, customers do not need to return the physical item for hygiene and safety reasons.
